The new year is the perfect time to adjust how we work in order to be more productive. On Tuesday, January 20, EAC Toronto branch kicks off 2015 with a double feature of experts discussing practical suggestions aimed at making work better, more productive, and even healthier. (Note that this month’s meeting is on the third Tuesday of the month.)
Luigi Benetton will discuss ways to use technology productively during your workday. Luigi helps technology businesses and periodical editors explain sophisticated technology in ways that their business audiences understand. Luigi has written for organizations including Microsoft, MTS Allstream, and the province of Ontario’s Ministry of Health, as well as consumer and trade publications such as the Toronto Star, itbusiness.ca, and cbc.ca.

Jane Langille will speak about the biggest problems hindering productivity, the latest neuroscience about multi-tasking, the health risks of too much sitting, and what you need to know about using a standing desk. Jane is an award-winning health and business writer who helps organizations, health-care providers, and publications tell their stories. From website copy and blog posts to print features and company reports, Jane has written for a number of organizations including CPA Canada, Ontario’s Long-Term Care Task Force, GE Healthcare, Insception Lifebank, and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Her work has appeared in publications such as the Canadian Journal of Medical Laboratory Science, The Globe and Mail, Canadian Living, and Health Research & Innovation. Jane volunteers as director of programming for Professional Independent Communicators, a subgroup of IABC/Toronto.
