The Editors Canada Conference 2022: Editing for a Changing World will be taking place in a month, on May 28–29. It’s the second time the conference will be virtual, which means I can join from the comfort of my desk without the stress of travelling, although it is at the expense of casual mingling with other editors.
More importantly, the conference brings together editors. There is nothing like celebrating your love of editing while supported by other colleagues who are into words and language. There is so much to do at the conference, like acquiring new skills to add to your repertoire, networking with editors from different backgrounds, and learning outside your area of expertise.
To give you an idea of what to expect, we’ve rounded up a few BoldFace articles on the Editors Canada conference:

This year, there are various topics (Talking Points: Copyediting Dialogue in Fiction by Amy J. A highlight for me that I’m planning to attend is Boost Your Brand with Your First Blog by Erin Brenner.
Registration for this year’s conference for Editors Canada members and members of partner organizations is $499, and for student affiliates it’s $249. Participants will have access to recordings of all conference sessions until August 31, 2022.
